Many of us are walking through a landscape that feels unfamiliar—like we’re on a journey with no clear map. If you’re feeling exhausted, confused, or like you’re moving through fog, I want you to know: You are not alone in that.

From my own experience, I’ve learned that your body knows what it needs, even if your mind is arguing with it or trying to push you to do more. For years, I have worked with hair tissue mineral analysis, trying to understand how to support others—and honestly, I’ve realized that I haven't always been able to do that as effectively as I want because I was still caught in my own process.

What I’ve come to see is this: When your body perceives safety, it begins to remember how to heal. But that process can be disconcerting because it’s like your nervous system is rewiring itself—unlearning its habits of survival and threat. It’s like stepping into uncharted territory where familiar signals no longer apply, and everything feels uncertain, even scary.

That’s why trusting your body’s wisdom is so vital. Because you can only go as fast as the slowest part of you wants to go. And that’s not about effort or forcing yourself to “push through”—it’s about deep acceptance. It’s about allowing yourself to be exactly where you are, without judgment or shame.

Honestly, I’ve seen how this process can feel like another mountain to climb, especially when, for years, I carried so much instability, stress, and unprocessed emotion. But what I’ve also learned is that the slower we go, the deeper we can integrate. And that self-compassion—really, truly being kind to ourselves—is the foundation for healing.

When you’re running on fumes, your body is telling you: “Hey, I need to be refilled. I need space to rest, to restore, to gather my strength.” That’s not a sign of failure. It’s a sign of your body’s profound wisdom and resilience. It’s saying: “I can only do this if I am supported and given time.”

So I invite you—whether you’re just beginning or already deep into your process—to trust that where you are now is exactly where you’re meant to be. To accept the slow, sometimes invisible progress, and to hold yourself with patience and kindness.

Because true healing isn’t about fixing ourselves overnight. It’s about embracing the process—the ups, the downs, the quiet moments of stillness—and knowing that your body is doing its best to guide you back to wholeness. And sometimes, that means giving yourself permission to simply be, right here, right now.

Holding Faith in the Silence: Trusting What We Cannot See
One of the hardest parts of healing—whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual—is holding onto faith when the results are silent. When months pass and nothing seems to change, it’s easy to doubt, to wonder if we’ve wasted our time, or if we’re just fooling ourselves. On the surface, it can feel like a copout to be told to “trust the process.” But deep down, I believe the truth is this:

You are building something beautiful beneath the surface—something you can’t see yet.

I’ve been watching my little baby seeds. I’ve planted many of them this year, and so many days I walk past them and think, Nothing’s happening. Nothing looks different. It’s tempting to think that nothing is growing, that maybe I planted the wrong seeds or that I should give up.

But then I think about the hillside garden I introduced mushroom spawn into—an ecosystem built deep underground, hidden from view. I watched and waited, unsure if it would ever manifest, wondering if I’d wasted my money. And yet, given the right conditions—enough patience, enough time, the right environment—they began to emerge. They pushed through the soil, breaking the surface, transforming the landscape.

Growth is like that. It’s often invisible for a long time. It’s the mycelium network connecting roots beneath the ground, working silently, strengthening, exchanging nutrients, and building resilience. It’s the unseen ecosystem that sustains the majestic trees, the lilies that bloom for only a brief moment in the season.

And here’s the truth: most of the real work happens behind the scenes. We don’t see it. We may not notice it in the moment. But if we step back, take a big picture view, the cycles become clear. Nature reminds us that growth often requires patience, trust, and the willingness to honor the unseen.

How many times do we walk outside, rush to our cars, go about our busy days, and miss the quiet beauty unfolding around us? The lilies slowly opening their petals, the new leaves unfurling—each phase brief but vital. When we look at the garden from a broader perspective, we see the rhythm, the cycles, and the natural timing of life.

If you’re in that quiet season—waiting, unsure if you’re making progress, questioning if the effort is enough—know this: you are not alone in this experience. Healing and growth don’t follow a straight line, and often, the most profound change happens when we’re least aware of it. Trust that beneath the surface, your body is working in ways you can’t yet see, building resilience, rewiring old patterns, and laying the foundation for what’s to come.

Every seed you plant, every effort you make, is part of a larger process—one that unfolds in its own time, in its own way. Sometimes it’s in the stillness, in the patience, that the deepest transformations take root. So, be gentle with yourself. Have self-compassion as you move along on your healing journey. Celebrate the small signs of growth, even if they seem invisible right now.

Remember: this is part of being human. We’re all growing in ways that often aren’t visible on the surface. Trust in the unseen work—because the bloom is coming, and it’s happening exactly as it should.
